We are requiring all customers to use hand sanitizer and put on gloves before entering the store. This excludes customers with skin sensitivities that cause them to be unable to wear gloves. We are practicing social distancing in our check-out lines. Please see signage in-store for instructions.
7:30 am to 8:30 am will be restricted in-store shopping for ONLY customers over 60 years of age or those with compromised immune systems. Call-in ordering and curb-side pickup are also available to these customers throughout the day. Please be mindful that we are short staffed and it may take several hours for these orders to be fulfilled. Payment can be made over the phone with a credit card. Call us at 803-359-2920 for more information.
With the continued incoming news of the spreading Coronavirus, we wanted to reach out to let you know what we are doing on our end, to help keep you safe when you are shopping at 14 Carrot.
We are actively encouraging ill employees to stay home. If an employee experiences acute respiratory illness and/or a fever over 100.4 degrees, they are asked to stay home until they have been free of these symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medication. We will ensure that our employees know they can stay home sick as long as needed without repercussion and are not required to provide a doctor’s note or similar documentation as to not deter staff members from breaking with this policy.
We will also be accommodating to employees that must stay home to care for a family member who becomes ill.
If an employee appears to have acute respiratory illness symptoms (i.e. dry cough, shortness of breath) upon arrival to work or they become sick during the day, they will be separated from other employees and be sent home immediately.
We will be disinfecting all frequently-touched surfaces on a regular basis, including, but not limited to, doorknobs, freezer door handles, credit card machines, work stations, countertops, computer keyboards, and all bathroom surfaces.
Tissues, hand sanitizer, and hand soap will be available for use by all staff and customers. All staff will be trained on proper hand-washing technique.
We will be reaching out to businesses and farms that we do business with to ensure they maintain the same or similar sick leave policies.
If there are any additional steps that we can take to make your visit to 14 Carrot more comfortable, please feel free to reach out to our General Manager, Tami O’Brien, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 803-359-2920 and we will do our best to make the needed accommodations. Thank you and we wish you all the best of health!
