The mask mandate in The Town of Lexington has expired and hasn't been extended. We haven't changed our policy. We will continue to require all staff to wear masks or shields at all times. We also ask all customers to wear masks while in the store for everyone's safety unless you have health reasons preventing you from doing so. For those who would feel more comfortable, we encourage you to use our online or by phone shopping with no-contact curbside pickup or home delivery. Thank you for your understanding.
We now offer free online shopping with no-contact curbside pickup or free delivery within a 10-mile driving radius on purchases of $75 or more (for a limited time.) We are requiring all customers to use hand sanitizer upon arrival for all in-store shopping. We also require masks to be worn inside. Masks are provided if you do not have one; please see an employee if you need one. Gloves are also available if preferred. Plastic dividers have been installed at all registers to limit contact with cashiers. Monday - Friday 8 am to 9 pm are reserved for the elderly and other high-risk shoppers.
With the continued incoming news of the spreading Coronavirus, we wanted to reach out to let you know what we are doing on our end, to help keep you safe when you are shopping at 14 Carrot.
We are actively encouraging ill employees to stay home. If an employee experiences acute respiratory illness and/or a fever over 100.4 degrees, they are asked to stay home until they have been free of these symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medication. We will ensure that our employees know they can stay home sick as long as needed without repercussion and are not required to provide a doctor’s note or similar documentation as to not deter staff members from breaking with this policy.
We will also be accommodating to employees that must stay home to care for a family member who becomes ill.
If an employee appears to have acute respiratory illness symptoms (i.e. dry cough, shortness of breath) upon arrival to work or they become sick during the day, they will be separated from other employees and be sent home immediately.
We will be disinfecting all frequently-touched surfaces on a regular basis, including, but not limited to, doorknobs, freezer door handles, credit card machines, work stations, countertops, computer keyboards, and all bathroom surfaces.
Tissues, hand sanitizer, and hand soap will be available for use by all staff and customers. All staff will be trained on proper hand-washing technique.
We will be reaching out to businesses and farms that we do business with to ensure they maintain the same or similar sick leave policies.
If there are any additional steps that we can take to make your visit to 14 Carrot more comfortable, please feel free to reach out to our General Manager, Tami O’Brien, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 803-359-2920 and we will do our best to make the needed accommodations. Thank you and we wish you all the best of health!
